Understanding how we "add value" through high quality client care Explores the value to the practice of embedding high quality client care at the heart of all of the practices services, how we create and support a culture to deliver this at all times, and what lessons the veterinary profession can learn from the very best and worst practitioners.

Developing Clubs and Clinics

(for Practice Mangers, Nursing Team Leaders, Senior Nurses)

If client education is key to the future of the practice, then clubs and clinics are fundamental to a practice's success. This day will help delegates to understand the role of clubs and clinics and the kinds of clubs to run. The afternoon session will be a workshop with groups of delegates planning different clubs and sharing ideas (Identifying needs, objectives, benefits and content and then working through the implementation plan). The final session will look at how to enlist support from the partners and the practice team.

The Essence of Practice Finance

(for Partners, Prospective partners, Practice Managers, Team Leaders)

Everything you have been too afraid to ask your accountant for fear of sounding "foolish"! A day of two halves with the morning session demystifying the practice's accounts, including understanding what's what, cutting through the jargon and how to use the information available. The afternoon session will look at practical financial issues including setting prices and fees, evaluating the effectiveness of products and services and making a financial case for a project.

Developing and Growing your Practice

(for Partners, Prospective partners, Practice Managers)

Managing your practice pro-actively means that you plan in order to prepare the practice and the practice team for the challenges that you will face. During the day, delegates will see how to develop a clear and concise Business Plan, setting out goals and objectives for themselves and their business. They will also learn how to develop objectives that will motivate the practice team to work together to achieve them, and explore how to use appropriate measurement systems to recognise improvements and to keep staff motivated
